My opinion on the
Mechanical Hound is I think that is a great piece of artwork and can be very
helpful but I wouldn’t use it because it has an evil look to it plus it kind of
freaks me out also technology isn’t always reliable it could back fire on
anyone you never know. Yes, I believe it is a symbol of dominance in something
beside a humans it also is a symbol of something bad because of the way it
looks, it just has an evil structure and the actions of it in the story makes
me think it’s a symbol of something bad. The hound might suggest a potential
base of evil just waiting to happen sometime unexpected in the story. I kind of
find it ironic that it is a man made machine doing the things a real life organism
would do, also when montage was a firemen and how the hound wasn’t going to
attack him but it interrogated him and then at the end of the book the hound
tried to kill him when Montag killed captain Beatty and the two other fireman.
If the hound was man’s worse enemy the irony there would be that it was built to
make life easier for us but it ended up turning it’s back on us and going
against us.

Irony and Book Burning (Kennie)
Irony means the expression of one’s meaning by using
language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or
emphatic effect. The Nazi where one group of people who burnt books back in the
1900’s, they burned 18,000 in public and 25,000 more books including works by Albert Einstein, Vicki Baum, Bertolt Brecht, Heinrich Heine, Helen Keller, Thomas Mann, Karl Marx, Erich Maria Remarque, Frank Wedekind, Ernest Hemingway and H.G. Wells. Also in May
1940, Belgium was destroyed by the German army and 900,000 books where burned.
This was after 300,000 more books were burned in WWI at the same library. The
Nazi where burning specific books, the Nazi burned books of the Jewish authors.
Do I see irony in people finding motivation to burn books? No I don’t, I think
that to burn a book and erase someone’s work from history, you have to want to
do it or hate that someone. I think they find their motivation to burn a book
in a book, if its against their beliefs or like how the Nazi burned only Jewish
books.

Illusion (Kennie)
What extent can one believe in
their own eyes? I believe that one can believe as far and back as the mind
could go in it’s own imagine that allows man to visualize through their eyes.
People’s feelings or eyes can sometimes blind them from reality drawing them
closer to their nature to love and give everything just in the look of eyes or
chances given over and over again. Illusion is important because it can make a
person feel better or illusion is away of making something feel real and gives
it more feeling and can create a picture for the audience to give them a
picture in their head as a story goes along or continues with more illusions to
give audiences little movies in their head if they visualize it the right way
it is supposed to be. Imaginations play a positive and negative in a romance
because you could have good imaginations in a relationship that just drives the
romance into a good direction also a bad imagination that could cause jealousy
or home wrecking in a romance which could be in the middle because it could
bring a romance stronger or it could make it weaker but a little jealousy is ok
in a romance cause it shows that the other person cares for who you interact
with in a certain way in a different manner that shouldn’t be performed to
anyone else but a lover. We need illusions to keep our minds strong and out of this
world because without it the world wouldn’t have some many great stories to
tell or great books to share and imaginations would not be as strong and minds
would think alike and be alike which no one would want cause no one would be
unique and everyone one would be the same.

Dreams (kennie)
I think dreams represent
the future, and the hopes in life, I think they give people faith to try harder
so I think it represent "faith". The power of dreams is faith, which
motivates you to complete your goals and achieve high-level rewards, which
takes hard work that eventually pays off in the future. Yes they have huge
affect because once you have a dream you try ten times harder than you would if
you didn’t have dream. Dreams have a big effect in America because America is
the land of opportunities because everyone who comes or lives in America has an
idea or a dream just waiting to be set free and without those people America
wouldn’t be one of the best places in the world. The dreams in America has got
America bigger effects than anyone could have ever imagined epically with the
new technology that has came out such as tablets, laptops, Flat screen TV, and act
and these dreams has become a worldwide product so everything starts with a
dream. Yes dreams has affected a big part of my life because I love to dance
and I used to dance in talent shows and in front of the camera and it helped me
realize that I have a talent that a lot of people enjoy but hopefully I can
become famous off of it.
