Equal rights (Kevin)

In the present time we as people have more equal rights than we did in the past. The equality injustices and discrimination we go through are somewhat mild compared to the ones of the past because In other times people would be jailed, or in worst cases killed for being unique by not looking or thinking like someone else, so we should be grateful for living during this time period. We should also acknowledge that the people who didn’t have the same equal rights as us spent their lives fighting for the people of today to have what they didn’t have.Today the population is growing together amongst other ethnicities, religions, and cultures, in which may not have been acceptable in other times because some people felt that since they were a certain color or had a certain religion they were superior to other groups of people. Although prejudice and racism still strongly exist in the world there is less segregation and people are now able to have (some) of the same privileges that were at one point of time exclusive to one race or group. People from different races and backgrounds are now able to go to the same schools, have the same jobs, and try new things. It is now acceptable, and quite normal for people from different backgrounds to embrace other religions and cultures without skepticism and judgment from others.

Freedom

We have lots of freedom espeacially America we got rights to do things and some people have too much freedom.  Our freedom work like we can go wherever we want to drive, talk, and go places. Having too much freedom can cause a lot of trouble it could deal with life or death situation. But I think America is the best place to have freedom in other countries has restrictions and illegal things. So I’m lucky to live in American in Kansas because things are a little fairer. For me I don’t wont a lot of freedom but I’m satisfied what I have right now so no need for me I’m good.

Rights That Changed (Sarai)

One of the major equal rights that we did not have in the past was the right for a woman to do the jobs that men did. The woman mostly had to cook, clean, and look after her kids. Now there are woman working even better than a man can work. That is how strong us woman now a days work. Also gays were not aloud to get married in many places but Massachusetts. Gay people disagreed with this law, but then the gays protested even more for the right they wanted. This come to prove the more you fight for what you want you will get it. Never you give up on what you want as a right. There are rights I really do disapprove of and wish to take off or make it as if it never existed. For a fact I know that there are many that think the same way I do. Now nobody is saying anything about certain rights to not start arguments. Later on they are all going to get against some of the right they have changed. Us teenagers can still protest, so if you disagree with one of these rights, go on and stand up for what you want. Make sure it is going to be a right that brings a good change to families in the future.

 Do you think that using violence to show some one that you want equal rights is good or just talking over it and why?

If you demand having your equal rights to be heard do you express it by using violence or the opposite by speaking? Both techniques will work but if you choose to express violence and it gets out of rage most likely people would take it serious and your feelings and thoughts would be easily herd in that way but if you use violence most likely it will come back and hunt you down. Starting violence starts more violence until some one does something such as the president will make things equal or the leader in your area will make things fair. Or simply just send a letter to the leader or president in your area saying you want rights to be equal as the others. And if that doesn’t work start a group and go out and protest try to get a huge group so the more people you have the more voice there is so you could be heard and if its that huge your topic might end up being in the TV news or on newspapers where people in the world can know about your argument and also might want to help. Both ways work but it mostly depends on what your argument is about in this case you would most likely express violence so when the leader in your area sees that situation is getting awful he would step up and do something about it.

I relate is that to do something we don’t have to be offended or judged by our color. What I think if we put in our color we wouldn’t have the same rights But we all have to be treated the same just because our skin isn’t the same color as others to be criticized , We are born free and equal in rights to every other human being. We have the right to think and to tell right from wrong. You should treat others with friendship We are all born equal in rights to every other person. We also have a right to be accepted everywhere as a person according to law Nobody can leave you out just because of who you are. You have the right to go to go to school. Primary schooling should be required for every one. They should be able to be educated a profession or finish your studies as far as you can. At school, they shouldn’t  be able to judge you , to finish all your talents and learn to respect others, whatever their religion or race you are. All Of the nation should feel the right to live in a country where they feel safe and isn’t judged by people Your parents should have a say in the kind of education you receive. You have a right to the kind of world where you and all people can enjoy these rights and freedoms as every one in this world.

I think that the animals will be put up for the challenge to overcome to humans. The animals have been through a lot with the humans and they feel that humans do not have any love for the animals. I think The animals will try to take over the world by killing the farmers then run away and spread the word to all of the animals. To get them to stand against there owners and they wont stop until every human that ever walked planet earth is dead. I think that the animals feel as if they weir abused or neglected or both. They feel like no one has feelings for them anymore so they cant depend on any human anymore they can only depend on each other. I think that the reason that the animals think that humans cant ever have true feelings for an animal because they don’t know what it is like to be an animal. The animals have a mind of their own they think for their selves and they feel that humans think they know more about them then they know about their selves. My thoughts are that animals went for a long time thinking that mankind will do what’s right for them just to find out that they weir wrong all along and the humans are no different.

The rights we have now make’s the U.S.A. more equal. Except for the younger people, but in they’re category they are equal. We can vote now and by we I mean us colored folks. There is no more discriminating against colored people. We have a very stable constitution. That affect us in a good way because now colored people has the same chances to get things as anyone else. I wasn’t born when our country was racist so I don’t know how it is to be without rights but as a kid there are things we cant do. To me it’s the same as the animals and what they are going through. But there getting treated worse I just couldn’t do certain things. The animals are going through what most colored people ancestors was going through. The animals cant do what humans do that’s because the animals same as the colored cant do what the whites do because they were colored. But they did let us into their homes that’s only to do things for them and that’s like the animals. If the human don’t want to by milk he just use the cow. Wants food just kill the pigs and stuff like that. Same as the blacks if the white man didn’t want to clean up the slave will. So I think the animals are going through the same thing. But all owners don’t treat animals like that and all whites wasn’t slave owners that’s another thing they have in common

The equal rights that we didn’t have back along time ago is that African-American people could not eat in the same places as white people. Colored people had to sit in the back of the buses and eat at different restaurants and they would get treated bad and unfair. Back in the 1950’s African-Americans had basically no rights and they were separated from everybody else. If they did not follow the rules then they would go to jail. Rights that we have no that we didn’t have in the past is we can be in the same place as everybody else and eat at the same restaurants and go where all the white people could go. In the 1960’s they had a civil rights movement and the leader was a guy named Martin Luther King jr he started protests and fought for peoples rights. A few years later he got assassinated. Shortly after that they passed a law that gave everybody equal rights. The rights we didn’t have  before that happened was they couldn’t be together with  white people like they couldn’t eat together, couldn’t drink from the same water fountains or even use the same bathrooms, and they couldn’t  go to the same schools as white people. That’s what life would be like if we did not have rights.

What kind of equal rights do we have right now that we didn’t have in the past? How does that affect us today?

In the past we were split up, blacks and whites were not able to connect we fought a lot we never liked to go to the same school the same store or anything like that. I’m pretty sure some of the little kids wanted to talk to a different race but they were no aloud to do things like that back then. Back then I’m so so glad that I wasn’t born when things like this happened because I would be the type of person who would want a few white friends and that’s why I’m glad that all of the non sense is over thank god I’m steal living now.

My mama sit and tell me about this everyday and talk about how happy she is that the world isn’t how it used to be. The world now is so peaceful because you can be friends with who ever you want without any problems or complains you can go outside without another race closing there doors and windows that’s seems so freaking pointless to me now like I don’t understand why everyone didn’t start off as friends back then to I guess that’s just how the equal rights go.

 Think about a time when you felt you didn’t have any rights. Does it compare to what the animals are going through?

Everyone goes through unfair time’s in their life. In my case it’s not an option. I’m the kind of person that thinks that if I do all I can if I do things right I deserve the best and sometimes because of my age they don’t treat me the way it suppose to. One of the times I felt I didn’t have rights was when I use to work. I was the youngest there. Everybody there was 20 or older and I’m only 16. A lot of people though I couldn’t handle the job because it was to much for me. I worked for 6 months their all the people I meet their was already gone and guess what I was still going. I knew I was doing good job and that’s why I was still working there. I asked if I could have a raise and they would say yes and don’t do it and that’s why I quit. I know I can get pay more than what I was getting and not get so tired. Another thing that’s always on my mind and that makes me feel like I don’t have any rights is been here in United States. And no In my opinion it doesn’t compare to what the animals are going through. Fist of all we don’t know what they feel and think. Everyone is going to feel different even if there going through the same things.

Can you relate to not having equal rights because of who you are or your skin color? I can relate cause back in the old days the black people didn’t have rights they was in slavery and all that bad stuff like not being able to sit in the front of the bus or not being able to go to the say schools as whites. Not having equal is unlike man kind its wrong cause god mad everyone equal and nobody is prefect in nobody is better then the other person. We all should get equal right no matter what going the black people isn’t better then the white and the white people isn’t better then the black or the Mexican isn’t better then us or nobody is better then the other person every body is equal and that’s how the world is made and that’s how it post to be at the end of the day. The only thing people cant be equal is on sports or they hobby like most people can rap better then other and some people can play sport better then other people but it don’t mean they better then everybody it just mean god give them the talent then that other person. Equal is not a choice to me its something that’s should already be showed and people should already know we all are equal but its not that way cause it always someone who think they better then another person.

The equal rights we have now are way different from the rights we had back In the days. Back then some people didn’t have rights, and some people did it all  depended on the amount of money they had. Poor people didn’t have many rights, and that’s if they had any rights at all. Rich people could mainly do anything they wanted just because of the amount of money they had. There also wasn’t any rights for women back in the day, they weren’t able to choose what they wanted or work where they wanted to work; they weren’t even allowed to work. The rights have changed through out the years, but in a way they are still the same. Today people have a lot of rights, a lot more than they had back the, but the way the rights work are still the same. People with a lot of money are able to do more than people with less money. The things work now are similar people with more money get to do more than people with less. The only difference is even with out money people still have a lot of rights. We are able to do what we want as long as we get a lot of people to agree with it. Like when people want a law changed or something like that people get together to change it. Equal rights have change, but they are still similar.

I predict the animals are going to have to get use to not having

Humans to do the things they do. Because animals cant  do things humans can so the animals might have a hard time doing some things. But the good part will be that the humans wont miss treat them and boss them around it

Will just be the animals in control but they soon will want to see who is the

Main animal in charge of the barn and they might start fighting amongst them

Selves and if they fight a human wont be there to break it up or keep order

Cause there are animals who are more dominant and they will want to assume leader ship and of course the smaller animals or the weaker ones

Will be the ones in the lower position so it might not be the humans treating them wrong but there own kind so it would have been a waist to escape if they were going to be treated the same .

   Predict what is going to happen now in animal farm since all the animals have rebelled over “man kind.”

            Since “man kind” is gone, and we have ruled over all the lands it is all coming to a failure. There are many things we cannot do without man. Nothing here is the same animals are hungry for what they use to be served for lunch, the cows are soar for not being milked the proper way, the chickens nests are falling apart and no one there is helping them clean. The point is, they are all doing extra work to survive and keep themselves breathing for air. The pigs seem to be more demanding to others now. They feel like they have control over everyone now that Mayor has passed away. Like he said that the pigs were head of the thinking and the choice making they took full responsibility but do not ask us about our opinion! Its come down to us being slaves of our own kind. “ANIMALS” I never thought I would be asking or wishing to have this again but I wish man kind was back for the good of our life’s.  This is a letter of a small little puppy that does nothing but gets bossed around everyday. He feels like a disturbance to others.

I think a right that we have now that we didn’t have long time ago was “ Womens Rights “ and I think it affect us in a very positive way because now us women have more rights for everything like voting and stuff like that now I think we show the man that we can to do stuff they do, before this women where treated like they couldn’t do anything that men did they treated women like they were weak all they had to do was stay home do house work take care of the kids and just be a STAY at home mom , men thought they had to do all the hard work that the weak stuff was for girls, now I think that its so different because you see all this women working hard to have a home and food for their kids and yet when they get of work they still come home make food and clean their houses and in that point their showing you that they are strong too they can do things men do. I don’t know why men thought that women were weak back then. GOSH!

 I think that we have a lot of freedoms in the United States. Sometimes, I think we take these freedoms for granted, and sometimes all this freedom can cause problems. For example, we have freedom of speech. This means we can say pretty much whatever we want. Sometimes people say things that are mean or untrue. Sometimes people start rumors and make up lies about people. It can be very hard to get them to stop because they say, ”We have freedom of speech “. In polities, the candidates can say terrible things about each other and no one can say anything against it. Another example, is in advertising. people trying to sell things can make untrue statements or use peer pressure to sell their stuff. They say that they can say anything because there is freedom of speech. I think that the politicians and the and the advertisers should be more truthful and not hide behind freedom of speech. For these reasons, sometimes I think freedom of speech can go too far.

Animal rights and human rights are different because some people don’t care about animals and think of them of slaves who do whatever they want and they can’t speak to defend themselves.  That’s not true though animals have feelings too. Most people who have animals to do work for them on a farm will abuse the animals in many ways. Like giving them very little food to eat and literally making them starve. Human rights on the other hand are different people you can’t physically abuse a person now a days. Animals and humans should be treated the same with respect and care. Well that’s what I think anyway nobody should be treated wrong no matter if you’re a human or animal we are all equal. Some humans do agree with this as well that animals should not be mistreated just because they can’t talk or walk. People sometimes take advantage of the rights we have now and don’t realize all the consequences we cause. But most people are cruel when they have animal workers. When they are done with the animal they die or they either get slaughtered. That’s not fair for the animal because they didn’t nothing wrong for them to get killed in that horrible way. That shows how cruel many people can be to animals for no absolutely good reason.

What are equal rights? Would it be better to have equal rights or would it be worse? Why would it be better for every one to be equal?

Equal rights are when every one and every thing is equal, have the same rights and can do all the same thing, as someone else if they feel is right. Not every one can live how they want, have the rights they want, or do what they want like others can. For example, when you are from another country and you try to come live in the United States. If you don’t fill out the right paper work or tell the authorities you came to live here, you are not considered a citizen, you cant live how you please, you don’t have rights like anyone else that has been here forever.

I feel that if we all had equal rights then it would make the world go better, even if you come from a different country, we are all people we should have the same rights and same abilities to do things. Most illegal people come here for a better life and to have rights like American people but not all of them understand or can’t become a citizen for certain reasons but that shouldn’t mean that they should get in trouble or sent back were they came from all because they wanted good rights they felt they should have as a person.

Equal rights should not just be between humans but animals too. Even though they do not live in a house, do not walk or talk, they still have a heart beat and are alive. Any living thing should have rights and should be protected. Put your self in an animals huffs or four legs, how would you feel if you were put on a farm to be worked to death, not be feed because your just thought of as an animal; not important to feed as an human. Some are even killed for no reason or to be eaten. What if we killed humans and ate them, don’t sound to good or fun. Animal’s maybe animals but the can feel just like humans and should be protected like a person.

How would life be without discrimination?

How would life be without discrimination? If people wouldn’t discriminate for race, color, shape, or form this world would be a really calm place, if there was no discrimination I think people would understand that we are equal no matter if we have a different skin color or if we are short or tall or by our sexuality, if we are Hispanic, Indian, American, African American, Chinese’s,  or even if you don’t know where are you from we should never discriminate, we have no right on doing that because we are all equal, in my opinion the only one that can discriminate me is god and probably sometimes my parents but other than that no one else because they do not pay my bills or they don’t go around carrying me around so for that matter they got nothing to talk about. Many people get serious problems for discrimination some of them get to the point that they kill them self’s. if only humanity would understand that we have no right this world would be full of peace, we would probably see people as if we knew them, we wouldn’t waist our time in judging life is too short for that. But people sometimes judge because we are afraid od changes but that is not an excuse. Life without discrimination would be like heaven in earth.

 I think that every person in the United States has the same equal rights it doesn’t matter what kind of race you are every body has the same rights but there are people that they don’t get the rights that every body has they are treated different just because of there color or of the language they speak and they don’t get treated the same way as the other people that speak the same language as the other people but that person that is different get treated another ways just because they are different . That’s why they made the rights because every body should be the same and equal it doesn’t matter if you are rich of poor. If you want equal right why wouldn’t you want other to have those same rights?

Everybody wants rights especially equal ones. People in America want and have some many rights. In America we have so many choices and luxuries that many people dream of having. When people from another county come to America to have better life and better them self-s and their children in life people get upset. As Americans we have been privileged to live here. Others weren’t and come here to do so. Imagine living in another county where you had little money, food, and shelter and had to worry about you and your family being safe from rebels, and cartels. As a person you would want to come to another country to get away from it all and provide a better future for your family. Naturally coming from one place of disaster and seeing how Americans lived you would want it too with out having to go through many hoops go get it and be accepted. People in America like to complain about how people from other countries are coming here talking jobs and opportunities of Americans, but in their shoes you would want the same treatment.

I think Americans needs to keep an open mind on things other then greed and thinking everything is theirs. When one person is open mined more will be more likely to come around to the fact that everybody should have equal rights. In conclusion if you want equal rights your should want everybody else to have equal rights too.

Animal Rights (Gabby)

Animals are treated many different ways in different countries. In some country’s you can’t kill certain animals to eat, and in other there is a certain time that you cant go hunting like in Kansas there a time period that you cant go out & hunt deer. There is many ways to take care of your own animals and everyone will do it in there own way. Some will be really nice and caring to them while others with not be cruel but just treating the animals like they are just nothing but yet still feed them and what not. The way I would treat my animals if I had my own farm to take care would be really kind to the animals maybe just because I hate animal cruelty so I would be able to hit them with a wipe, even though they aren’t just used to hurt the animals if not to follow directions and know when they are given an order. But I believe there are different ways for animals to listen to you and to follow your instructions. I have my own pet I have two dogs but yet I treat them as if they are two babies, they sleep with me at night & they are allowed inside the house.

I think anybody should have the same rights as a person for me it doesn’t matter if their different in color skin and raise or anything I thin anybody who come from Mexico or Africa or china or any thing should have the same right as any body who was born in the united states because all they come for is to have better life and give more to their family then what they where able to give them when they was over their because back then people even gave their life just so people can get along not caring about the color skin they are or the language they speak I don’t think its right what goes on because now in day the only reason most people don’t like each other because if one of their friends or family members dot like a person their goes one of their goes all their friends not liking that certain person just because of one person . Some people just don’t like each other because some time they where scared of each other or just didn’t know each other and that’s when you start to judge just because of how they look or act around people but I mean back then you didn’t have a choose of liking a person because of the color of their skin and its sad that back then they didn’t have a choose to like some one or not and people wanted to talk to people that weren’t the same raise at them and now that it doesn’t matter who people talk to they choose not too when people use to even get killed when they talking to some one Elsa besides their raise . 

should Pit Bulls Be Killed? Or Should the Owner take Responsibility For Making Them That Way? (AJ)

I think That Pit bulls should not be killed because when they are mean the owner treats them that way to be mean and to kill people when they have pit bull fights with them and they shouldn't be punished because they are not the ones doing it I simply am glad that they banned it from Kansas City because I feel sorry for all the animals that get killed by the police or by another dog. It isn’t right for them to be killed the owner should go to jail and have to pay a big fine for fighting pit bulls. But if they banned them they need to banned other dogs to because pit bulls are not the only dogs that can do damage like that so if they banned pit bulls I think they should banned any other vicious dogs around the county and the city. Bull mastiff’s are big and they are mean just like pit bulls they attack people and I’m sure they have dog fights with them to they probably don’t get caught doing it but my option is that I think that the owner should go to jail and not the dog because its not the dogs fault and they didn’t ask to be mean the owner’s are really stupid if they do that but if thy are doing it still I wish them good luck and don’t get caught because they are going to go to jail for along time.

Is fear a good motivator?  In other words, can you “make” someone do something by instilling FEAR in him or her?  Why/why not?

            Fear can make someone do something they don’t usually do. Fear is a “gray” motivator, meaning it can be a good motivator and then again a bad one also. Fear can motivate someone to do better but can also get a person to do bad or cause harm.

In animal farm the animals gain fear by thinking they are going to be eaten or abused. This causes the animals to turn on the humans to gain their freedom. Fear can cause some one that is doing awful things in their life to do something better before it gets to late. It can also make people protest for good causes, like if a species goes existent then people gain fair of losing that type of animal they will protest. Even if a government is in fear of losing power they will go to extreme measures to make sure nothing bad happens. In other cases in fear of getting bullied some kids are motivated to hurting them self’s or other to stop the harassment. If a country may gain fear that they are over populated and main run out of food sources, they may start killing off people or may send families away to another country.

Fear has gotten people to do the best they can or the worse a person you can be. Fear is a strong feeling like belief and or happiness. But it doesn’t have the same affect on a person. To let fear control you as a person it takes a lot to control if you do bad or good. It depends on what kind of person you are to do bad or good when you have fear in you.

 “Is fear a good motivator?”

 Fear isn’t a ‘good’ motivator. I’m sure many people don’t like the feeling of being in fright or at an alarming state. Fear isn’t always a motivator but depending on the person it can really push, turning into action. It is possible for fear to be a motivation for some in many cases. A person can let their emotions run and get the best of them, taking in fear would be the effect and the cause would be the actions after going through the sentiments.

 I believe for it to be possible to make anyone do anything, if not in movement than in emotions. I’m pretty certain there are other ways to make someone do anything other than those two examples. But, honestly it would all depend on the person and how the person takes things in. Another person could contemplate in the logic before they let their emotions escape. That person would be able to control their fear seeking out only what makes sense throughout the entire process of what they are being terrified of.  Between these two examples of two people and how they react depends on them. There is absolutely nothing great about feeling scared in my opinion. The kind of person I would be if someone was trying to replace my mind with fear wouldn’t survive. I am the person to find the logic in things and to understand rather than let my emotions head out first. Therefore, I came to a conclusion that fear is nor a good or bad motivator depending on how it’s being used. Also, depending on the kind of person taking in this feeling; they can have an emotional or physical reaction or no reaction at all.

Freedom (Deangelo)

We have a lot of freedom but most of our freedom cause us to get in trouble the freedom that we take for granted the most is the freedom to bear arms. We also have the freedom of speech that means that we can speak when we have something that we fill we need to say that cause us to speak at any time we have something to say. In most cases your mouth is what get you in trouble the things you say can introduce you into a lot of problems. We get in trouble for the actions we take but the government and the president send troops to other country’s to do exactly what they tell us not to do. Like kill people or take things that don’t belong to you or even having weapons of massif destruction they invade peoples homes shoot and kill innocent people and walk away unpunished. There is no reason for you to make rules if you choose not to follow them but you want every one else to follow the rules that you came up with. I don’t think we have enough freedom most of the thing we do are not very bad to the point were we have to be taken to jail. We should be able to do what we fill like doing as long as its not life threatening or hurtful to others there is no reason to have life if you wont live up to it.

   I think some people like police have too much freedom especially the speed limit and other folks with guns. But our normal freedom is good because many years ago you couldn’t have a lot of freedom like we do now. Having too much freedom can cause a lot of trouble it could deal with life or death situation. Like guns can get somebody killed or injured and like with kids that can get hurt with too much freedom. Too much freedom is like being greedy like being control over money you want more and more that’s too much freedom over controlling money.

     When you’re a child do adult things that’s too much freedom because a child can’t handle all that stuff. I think our freedom is okay for now and can be handeled from security or so. But I think America is the best place to have freedom in other countries has restrictions and illegal things. So I’m lucky to live in American in Kansas because things are a little fairer. Having a lot of freedom can come with a lot of responsibility depends how much you have.

    For me I don’t wont a lot of freedom but I’m satisfied what I have right now so no need for me I’m good.

If there were no more enforced rules or laws in this world think it would be a crazy world. Because as much people don’t like laws it does keep them safe from committing anything stupid like car accidents because there wasn’t a law about having your seatbelt on or the speed limit. People would be doing everything they wanted to do and not have the fear of getting arrested for it. I think there is a necessity for rules in this world because right now the world is not at its best moment but it’s pretty safer than what it would be like without no laws or rules. The rules we have now a days are good I mean it doesn’t stop some people from doing what their doing.  Because they really don’t care about laws or rules and think they wont get caught but some day they will and their not going to be happy about it. Most people don’t even like rules and laws I know I don’t but I must admit that the rules and laws that our world has keep me safe and out of trouble so far. The point is that we need rules and laws in our lives to keep everything under control and keep people from dong stupid things. 

Freedom (Luis)

The freedom we take for granted in the United States is that they lets us drive at a young age. Will as for parents I wouldn’t say if they have to much freedom because they have to work and work just so they would be able to pay the bill and do all kinds o things like that so I wouldn’t say that parents don’t have as much freedom but for us teenagers have a lot of freedom, yea we might have school and stuff like that and have to work or whatever but I mean we don’t go to school all day we have freedom when we get out and on the weekends we can pretty much do whatever we want and yeah if you work you lose some of the freedom you can have but when you get paid it isn’t to pay the bills or anything like that , it so you can buy whatever you what to buy with it . So yeah I would say us teenagers have a lot of freedom unlike parents. The freedoms I think that cause problems and parents letting kids drive s young and yeah it right for parents to let us driving at 16 or 15 in the day time to go to the store and stuff but I mean it was in the weekends to go to party’s and stuff like that because their has been a lot of drunk drive accident’s just because of having to much freedom some teenagers don’t have so much freedom because of their parents but sometimes its good to not have that much freedom because if it bad thing from happening but yeah to much freedom can cause a lot of problems.

I think that if the world was the same and everybody had the same things and know body was more money then every body and there would not be no fights between other country’s and people would not be fights. Because every body has the same money but they might not have the same things that other people have because some people use there money on what they need and some people use ‘s it on stuff they don’t even need. But I think that some country’s wont like that they have the same money like that other country and they are going to try to make more money then that other country. And they are going to go to war and both country’s think that they are going to win but when they see that the other country has more money and more men then them and they are going to freak out. And other things if people had the same amount of money like every body else there are people that don’t like to be like others and they are going to make more money so that can be better then them because they don’t like to be like each other. And that’s when people start stealing from other people because they don’t want to be left out. and that’s when people start fighting and killing each other so it can be good and bad at the same time.

My personal opinion about freedom in this country and any other country is that, people are free and should be free to do whatever, people should have the right to do what they think is best to do and say as well, but the rules are what makes this country safe and comfortable there isn’t much violence because the laws are strict and they have big penalties, we don’t need much debates and wars with other countries, it would make us more safer and a better life style I think the president isn’t doing what his suppose to do there are a lot of homeless people and poverty I would be willing to give money and time off to help people, the president is just wasting money that he shouldn’t that way if he did help and try to make this country better we would not have people trying to steel or kill or even suicide. If we were all equal there wouldn’t be unfairness, people would all have the same rights and its sad because people that would like to achieve sometimes cant because they don’t have the requirements, this country doesn’t like people from all countries coming here, it would all be great if we were all equal but I am thankful because there is rules and laws that keep people from going crazy and doing things they are not suppose to do life in the U.S is great just that if we were all equal and not treated differently it would be better and I also think that being feared wont take you anywhere but loneliness or jail.

No Rules or Law (Jesus)

 I decided to go with number four, “What would life be like without any enforced rules or laws”. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this one, I think without laws we would all be living in constant fear of each other and the rest of the world. The smartest, strongest, and or most powerful person or group of people would eventually work their way up and take over and be in complete control of everything. I think certain laws are important to have and they’re here to protect us, although not everyone may agree with the way things are. Certain laws are put in place to keep us safe and even healthy. For example imagine if the government didn’t make restaurants or food places keep their kitchens or food storage areas and we would all be running around with food poisoning or other even worse we might eat something that could give us some other kind of diseases. The world would be completely out of control and there would so many people dead, or in the hospital, not to mention how the business world would be. No businesses would be making any money because they’d all be getting robbed and their employees would probably get killed and even worse the ones responsible for the robberies and murders would never get caught or get in trouble, they would get off free. To conclude this blogm the world would be a crazy messed up place without any laws.

Too Much Freedom (Sarai)

One of the freedoms we take for granted is that we have is freedom of speech. In freedom of speech we can say and choose what we want and what we do not want. That is why there is so much war, arguments, strike, killing and so much more. Everyone thinks if they go on a strike long enough and say what ever they want, the government will either do as they say to do or more some things around to make them all shut their mouths. Having so much freedom can affect the world and the future of our kids and grandkids really bad. So it is better to think about what your speech or what change you want to make before you go on strike and change everything for everyone. In a way we do have too much freedom. Many people might not want what one person wants. Better to get a journal and see if others agree with what you wish to change in the system we live in. For those who do approve of the change you want to make, make them write their name in your journal. This way you will not get your butt kicked by the whole world. The freedom that causes so much trouble is the freedom or the right to speak freely without government interference.

If We Were All Equal (Tania)

            If we were all equal in this world, everything would be different because everyone would get the same disrespect or respect for each and everyone of us on this planet. Everyone would get paid the same minimum or maximum wages and no one would get more than the other. Gender would have to be put and everyone would be one gender due to equality. Many kids or teenagers wouldn’t be able to leave their house or will be able to leave their house, because if one kid get’s told that they can’t go out or that they can then the other kid’s can do the same according to what other kid’s are told. Life is much easier when everyone isn’t equal in any way. We all have our gender, either boy or girl. Everyone works to get the money the job is required to give. People are treated differently in this world and so therefor that’s why everyone wasn’t equal in the first place because god gave everyone of us a life in a gender and with different people so we can experience the different attitudes and defaults. Being equal with everyone in this world would be hard to live with because we all like different things and we want different stuff so everyone won’t have that ability to get what they want or what they like. There are many opportunity’s in this world and being equal isn’t one of them. The reason why being equal isn’t an opportunity is because god created us as we are so we can each have a different living in good or bad situations.

If we all were equal, this nation and even the world would be such a better and much safer place to live and succeed on. If we all had equality their wouldn’t be any racism, discrimination, nor wars no matter civil or national. Being equal means we all would be one and show unity towards each other, which would make us better people because you would treat people how you would want to be treated. If we were all equal are religion, race, money we make, or even politics wouldn’t matter because they would make us who we are to everyone else. But when it comes to money being made its wrong for a high paid position or career to get paid as much as a lower paid person or vice-versa. And in the U.S. I feel we have more than enough rights, we are very blessed to have so many laws in our favor knowing that many other countries don’t have as much leeway as we do. The laws we have here are made for a reason even though some might be taken for granted or used in a negative way not to better society. I would be great if people saw each other as equal to one another it would take away a lot of hate and confusion out of peoples lives.

Lysander said of love, “The course of true love never did run smooth”

meaning that finding your other half can be hard and you guys can go through a lot together, there can be people that don’t want you guys to be happy and can really hurt you and the relation their can also be families not wanting you guys to be in a relationship, people jealous of how happy you guys look, friends getting things in your head making you think that is not the right person for you, but who said love was easy? Who says life is easy? We fight for what we love and want everyday every second of our life no matter how small the result is. If we really want to be with the person we love or at least we think we do love we have to fight through the worst and do all we can do for the relationship to be as healthy as it can be. There’s going to be bad thing and good things but to get more of the good side we need to try. And trying is the best thing you can do, is better than giving up.

Is fear a good motivator? In other words, can you “make” someone do something by instilling FEAR in them? Why/why not?

I think most people use fear to get people to do what they want them to do. I think it sort of is a motivator because mostly all the people in history used that so the people can do as they say. I think the reason they used this “ Fear “ is because they know that the people are going to be scared for example if they tell them that they have to go do something and if they don’t do it they are going to kill them or their family of course they are going to do it because no body wants to get killed or have their family killed. So many dictators in history always made the people do as they said by planting fear in them, even one of the dictators said “ its better to be feared then loved” witch I totally disagree because why would you perfer to be feared like yea maybe they well do what you want them to do but what if one day something happens to you people are not going to want to help you because they well just think what you did to them. I would prefer to be loved am more of a lubby lubby person so I prefer to be loved then feared. I don’t really think that feared is necessary.

No Laws (Jose)

Life would be horrible with out any laws. The reason for that is people would what they want with out any consequences. With the laws we have right now we get a lot of freedom. This freedom is already a problem because people are doing what they want, and some get away with it, but some people don’t. This world is already bad enough with out any laws the world would become even worse. People who are nice are able to live a good life even with the other people that aren’t so nice, but that’s because the law helps them. Nice people wouldn’t be around if there wasn’t any laws because people would be doing what they want, and a nice person wouldn’t get anywhere with out being rough. Kids wouldn’t be so nice either later on their life they would start realizing that if they do something they wouldn’t really get punished. Also there wouldn’t be many inventions because stuff like cellphones we have to buy them, and pay every month, but when people can do what they want with no consequences they would just be stealing what they want, and wouldn’t have to worry about the money. Money wouldn’t be a problem because we need money right now to buy our food, pay our rent, and a whole bunch of other stuff. People would just steal, or find other ways to live wit out the worries of money. This world needs some type of law because with out it the world would be awful for the good or bad people.

What would life be like if we were all equal?

            Life would be crazy then again it would be cool cause everybody would have the same amount of money and clothes and car hopefully if they spend they money right. If everybody was equal kids wanted be able to brag about how they got more thinking then the other kids and if everybody were equal it wouldn’t be racist cause the white people and black people would look at each other as the same color as them. If like was equal schools would be better and kids would be on the same paste as the other kids and the class room cause the teacher is treating them equal and if life was equal people would have to worry about find a job cause everybody would have equal opportunity to get the job and they wouldn’t look at you cause you black or white they would just accept you as you is. The side effect of all of the people being equal is everybody would be the same and its not cool to be the same its all good to be different cause if you the same it would be crazy and weird cause you would go out side and you see everybody on your block go out side at the same time and get the mail and then they all leave at the same time it would just be weird and you would want to change up a little some times I would.

Fear is definitely a good motivator. It may not be the best way to go about things or it may not be right. In my opinion fear is only good for certain situations. Because nowadays people are very hard headed, and you’d be lucky if you give people any fear at all. There is always a way to go about things though. For instance, don’t over exceed what you do to that person. Like don’t scare them the wrong way. You don’t have to be immature about it either. My dad scares me. When he thinks I’m doing something wrong, he installs fear in me so I go the right way. Do the right thing. Honestly I don’t think installing fear is something people do purposely, I believe it’s a natural human characteristic. People get scared by people just by the way they act. A trait they have, or the personality they lay down. That’s why I say its natural. Some people may not think its right, and I can understand why they would believe that. Probably because the feeling of fear isn’t too good. Because who would want to make someone scared of them? But nowadays, try getting to someone without fear. Persuasion maybe? But how would you persuade? Through fear. You would use fear to persuade someone. There are all different angles you can look at this. All I’m saying is that fear comes natural to humans. Giving fear especially. 

Laws (Brandon)

Life without laws would be crazy because everybody could do whatever they want to do. If someone wanted to steal anything they could do it without getting in trouble and if we didn’t have any laws or rules we would have no police officers because there would be no reason to have them without any laws. If I didn’t have any rules or laws I would do anything I would want to like skip school and other stuff like that and I would not have to worry about getting in trouble by the school or my parents or the police. If we didn’t have any laws the world would be really dangerous because all of the criminals could do anything they want to do because there would be no laws or rules.

I think fear is a good motivator because if you put fear into someone and tell them to do something they would do it because they would be motivated to do something. Sometimes putting fear in someone could be bad because you might scare them to where they would be scared of you or you might scare them to where they would get mad and they would want to fight you or try to put fear into you. So sometimes fear is a good thing because you would be motivating them to do something and sometimes it would be bad because they might feel threatened it depends what you are trying to motivate them for.

Our Freedoms here, in the United States of America

1) What freedoms do we take for granted in the United States?

I’ll say the freedoms of free speech and just having the right to be free in general. Everyone that is from the United States tend to think they are able to do what they want, even if they are in a different country. Which is wrong on a completely other level. The United States is one of the truly free countries in this world, but they people use, “Oh I’m American, so it doesn’t apply to me” stance if they get into trouble in another country. And for the Freedom of Speech, many think that because of that right they are able to say whatever they want. Which in reality it only means you can say what you want until you start to insulting the whole world, the different races and even your own President, just because you are privileged to say whatever you want? It doesn’t work like that, not here in the United States or any other country in this world.

2) Do you think we have too much freedom?

I say yes we do. Because of these freedoms and “rights”, people think they can get away with anything. People want to get away with things that overboard, why? Because you’re an “American” citizen? You shouldn’t take advantage of the rights that are given to us.

3) What freedoms cause problems?

I’ll say all of the freedoms we are allowed to have, because people will make a complaint on all of them and expect to be justified because they are American. Especially when many people complain about others that are not from this country, threating people isn’t a right we have. We are supposed to greet people with open arms and accept them, not run them into the dirt and throw them thousands of miles back to their original country. In this country, everyone is free no matter what race, what color, nor gender. Everyone gets a chance, because America is the land of the Free, is it not?
