Comparing Hitler & Napolean (Monica)
We Can Compare Adolph Hitler was born on 20th April, 1889, in the small Austrian town of Braunau near the German border. Napoleon doesn’t play much of a role in the initial rebellion, which happens largely by chance. Let he’s introduced, along with Snowball, as being one of the most intelligent pigs around. Adolf Hitler Is inculturating young into violence and domination, before having the courtesy to die around his son's eleventh birthday. Adolf spent the rest of his childhood in Vienna with his mother, who led a Bohemian lifestyle. Napoleon Is almost the same because he supposly cares about the animal farm and he’s not being loyal to the animals he makes them believe hes on there side when he aint his a trader for trading all animal farm. Hitler was one person who killed all the Jews because he thought that they were wrong that they killed Jesus. He Also Was A Nazi He Was The Leader Of Them. Napolean His a Nice Person at first then he becomes the trader of the story They also want him to leave away from the animal farm because hes not the friend they thought he was. "No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?" In The Site The "Animal Farm The Author George Orwell Due to This quote makes me remember of the decisions They make about napoleon. I Wouldn’t Be In no ones side because they both failed on the plans they had. I wouldnt Be in no ones side they both did the wrong things. "As the sheep were trained to bleat in Animal Farm when the visitors were
passing: "Rations have been increased". As Squealer contined to
proclaim day by day: "Surely you don't want Jones back?" And as the book
did not quite end: "The creatures outside looked from Conservative to
Socialist, and from Socialist to Conservative, and from Conservative to
Socialist again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.""(David Copper)

Napoleon Vs. Hitler (Gaby)
They ignored the negative signs
with Napoleon by Squealer taking to the animals. Napoleon would tell the
animals a plan or something and then Squealer would come in and usually agree
with Napoleon. Squealer was always giving the animals one thing to believe and
another. Squealer was creating propaganda and making up things for the others
to believe. Squealer out of the rest of the pig spreads out business like
nothing to everybody. He’s like the ad for Napoleon. Napoleon does seem like
Hitler ‘cause they are both dictators. They both threaten everyone if they
don’t get something their own way. Hitler also had the Nazi Party (“…fueled the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and his National
Socialist [Nazi] Party”). This was brought by
the heading of Leading up to WWII. While Hitler had
the Nazi’s, Napoleon had the dogs, Squealer and Boxer (Leading up to World War II). They
both liked being in control or power most of the time, also
being produced by the same topic Leading up to WWII (“Obsessed with the
idea of superiority of the ‘pure’ German race…”) Leading up to WWII. Hitler has made
the Jews seem like everything was their fault and they were the bad people. Napoleon
was blaming Snowball when things went wrong at night and making him seem like a
bad guy. Hitler is also like Napoleon ‘cause Hitler signed treaties with Italy
and Japan. Napoleon didn’t sign anything but he got in contact with a human for
help around the farm. In the beginning when Snowball would always argue smart
and would win against Napoleon, Napoleon never went crazy or yelled. It was
like he didn’t have much feeling or he was good hiding it. He was suspicious
like Hitler. Hitler was undercover. That’s how they both got power easily most
times.

Laws (Jasmine)
If there wasn’t any laws or rules this world would be a
total dump because all of the bad dumb people would feel sense there’s no rules
or laws they can do whatever they want such as rob people kill people and much
more all of the jail birds would get out of jail doing the same thing they were
doing before they went to jail. That’s why I am so glad that we do have laws
and rules there would be so many hurt people in this world nobody to tell on
the bad people. Not good at all like the way the world is now its awesome I
love the way the world is now because everybody is so happy everyday you see a
smile on someone face but it would be very different if there wasn’t any rules
or laws. I understand that the world is going to end real soon but without any
laws the world would have been ended a long time ago. I really think that
wouldn’t be possible though because god would no how bad his world would be and
the way it would look but I don’t think it would be to bad because everybody
would be use to it. Just like the book animal farm the pigs kept on changing
the laws to make there lives better they
changed one to no animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets but the real
law was no animal should sleep in a bed at all because there not humans and no
animal shall kill any other animal unless there’s just cause . One who
breaks an unjust law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly
accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the
community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for
law
Blog 2: Can you relate to not having equal rights because of who you are or your skin color?
Question: Can you relate to not having equal rights because
of who you are or your skin color?
I can’t relate, well, not yet anyhow. As long as I can
remember I was given a fair chance in every thing I’ve done: School, Sports,
Activities, friends, and with the church community I was with.
I was always given a fair chance, unlike some of my other
friends and people I’ve met. I usually am given a chance for many things but
others get told that they can’t because of their race or ethnic group. People in
the U.S. try and play the race card on others so they won’t do something, I’m
Mexican but I was born here in the United States, sure there are privileges I
get over others from my race but I never complained about it because I know I
have it easier then others.
A lot of people get into trouble because they don’t have
equal rights; it isn’t fair because we are supposed to be in a “Free Country”
but that doesn’t stop employers, companies and the government from rounding up
people and accusing them of actions they didn’t commit.
All in all, I can honestly say that I haven’t been exposed
to unequal rights and threated because of my race, and I’m fine with it because
I know the more I follow the rules and laws the easier it should be for me to
get by without being threated of having no rights.

Changing Laws (Luis)
The
changing of the rules of the pigs compare to the changing of the laws now in
the way that the pigs law was like if they was still in slavery and they had to
do what was told because they would of got in big trouble and now we have laws
but we have a choose they didn’t have a choose and now we do we don’t get
treated or feel like slave with the laws we have now because they laws we have
now are for owner own good and for the better of owner life’s.
Politicians only
care about something when it affects them because its like this the politics
thing “As politics continues to debate ways
to address illegal immigration, we must remember the many hard-working legal
immigrants that contribute so much to our nation's economy and culture” they
don’t care about anybody elas but what
they don’t thing about is they illegal people just come over here to do the
jobs no body wants to do . http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/Immigration
the only thing they care about is them selves and that’s all for they is that
as long as them and their family’s are okay that that’s all that matters and they would only also care of themselves because they would
have control do to the fact that they say what laws are being passed for the
entire country and what they can take off and everything.
this compares to
the changing of the commandments on the farm in they way that the pigs only
care about them and the change the commandments when ever they want but they
only change the one that affects them and that they don’t want or don’t want to
be doing all the time that goes back to the rules that said all animals are
equal but they are not because if they don’t speak up or ever stop being scared
to speak up napoleon is always going to be the one who is going to make all the
decisions it just the same thing as when girls went equal same as men "Women
don't have what it takes."And it’s the same for animal farm nobody has what it
take to stand up to napoleon and tell him something. https://www.aclu.org/womens-rights
Rules (Nancy)
In my opinion having no laws or any enforce or rules… the
whole world would be so different… everybody would be doing what ever they want
to with out being stopped by someone…having no laws at all … (gangs) would keep
on growing more bigger causing more trouble hurting other people, without
careering about… don’t care who their hurting… or even hurting someone without
a reason… in another words people would try to still in stores, houses, bank,
every were theirs money at…no matter what they’ll try to get…having the world
without laws is difficult because you wouldn’t be secure no were or anything like It… everyone would be
in danger… and even be afraid to go outside or go some were else… you’ll have a
feeling that if you go out …am I going
to be ok …am I gong to come back… if this was the case in real life I
would be afraid of going out side …or even go to store…having the world without
laws or anything like it… ill suggest to move out of town …some were, were you
can feel safe and free … be able to live life and not be afraid of
anything be able to feel free… I can’t
not even imagine how the world be with out laws or any enforcers or any rules…
the whole world would be like upside down… drink wile driving or be drunk and
drive… life would be a mess… and be so complicated… and hard to handle it. For
example all the people that are on jail probably be free… and there’s a reason
why they went to jail leaving them free is a totally danger for everyone that
surround’s them… because they could easily commit the same crime or thing they
did… u never know …that’s why I cant even imagine living in a world without
laws or rules.
Napoleon Vs. Hitler (Nancy)
In my opinion Napoleon its alike with Hitler
because in all of their stories or movies they come out as antagonist which
stands for someone mean, bad, and don’t respect others wants to be more then
what he is… like for example Napoleon in the Animal Farm is that he took
advantage of those animals who didn’t know what to do when snowball died…
Napoleon star to established his rules to al of the animals giving ideas that
weren’t even his… but he was telling all of the animals their were his ideas
that he has been thinking of them long time ago and no that Snowball is dead,
its time to share his supposedly ideas… but no one knew that Napoleon had stole
Snowball’s ideas… Snowball was panning to tell all then animals his new ideas
but he died before letting them know about his ideas… now all the thing in the
farm are so different then how they just to be back then when Snowball was a
life everything change in just one day the day when Snowball die that was the
day that Napoleon took over Snowball’s place and he considers him self as a
boss in front of all the animals in the farm… making Napoleon’s ideas and by
the way telling their his when he knows they were Snowball’s ideas… Napoleon is
making all the animals work more then Snowball just to make them work… but they
can really say nothing since they all think he is the boss the one that tell
them what to do… that’s how Hitler just be when he exited the same way the
Napoleon.
Equality (Juan)
If everyone in this world were to be equal, I think that the planet and our lives would last longer and their would be enough of everything to share. The equality between everyone if it were to be true, would be so awesome because people wouldn’t steal, murder, or try to be better then someone. The equal rights to everyone also are and would be a big change to this world. The Hispanics wouldn’t have to find ways to get into the United States or even other countries. The wars would be out of people’s minds, and debts wouldn’t be thought of, also the economic problems would be solved with out going to war. Life would be way different from today if we were all equal, in my opinion I’d like it to be equal because their would be people who have died in wars here today, also family’s would be together even longer and the way of life to this earth would be safer cleaner and better. The problems with immigration would be solved and no problems for Hispanics going and coming back from Mexico. The states would be the same with the laws and economics. The world would be a better place for life spreading more and more. I personally think that equal rights is the best thing that could happen to this world.

Freedoms we take for granted in the U.S. (Oscar)
What freedoms do we take for granted in the United States, I
think we take the freedom of speech for granted the most because so many other
countries don’t have that freedom, and we abuse it. We use fowl language when
were talking with others. We also use it in songs. Its like we have never had
to watch what we do or say. But if we had to live our lives in a communist country
I think that we would keep things to our selves that we had taken our rights
for granted. For example if I couldn’t do almost anything I please on the
internet like blogging I would be so lost and wouldn't have a clue about what
was going on or any thing in the world. In some countries calling
someone a bad name could offend the government therefore that person could get
arrested. So basically we take freedom of speech for granted here in the United
States. I believe people in the United States have too much freedom. I do feel that with
freedom comes responsibility and many Americans are not responsible with their
freedoms. They abuse it another way that freedoms are abused in criminal cases
where civil rights for the bad guy comes ahead of the victim in many cases.

Equal Rights (Keith)
Sometime I can relate to not having equal rights and
sometimes I cant. Nowadays almost everyone has had or think they have been some
type of discrimination done to them. Sometimes I wonder when things happen to
me is it because of my skin color or because of things I have done in the past
or just because someone doesn’t like how I act. Like when me and my friends
apply for jobs and don’t get them we joke around saying its because our race
but it could actually be that, we will never know and that’s the sad part.
Other than those examples I cant really relate to not having equal rights
because I wasn’t around when it was really rough and just because you had a
different skin color you couldn’t sit in front of the bus or drink out a
certain water fountain. I don’t know what that feels like, and there wont be a
time like that ever again so unless a person was alive during that time no one
now or ever will ever REALLY know what that feels like. Now everyone in the
U.S. has equal rights and there is not a way a person can say that they were
discriminated against unless the person that did it has solid proof.
Adolf Hitler and Napoleon *Kevin)
Although
the Animal Farm character Napoleon is
based off of Joseph Stalin he still shares a number of similar traits as the notorious
German dictator Adolf Hitler. They are similar in their strong ambition for
power, their will do anything to make them superior to others and most
importantly their successful use of propaganda. Napoleon first appealed to the
animals to trick them and then he used his Propaganda to get the animals to
succumb to his thoughts and what he wanted for the farm. He assumed the place
as a leader, ran out Snowball and brainwashed the animals with thoughts of
rebellion and hopes of Sugar Candy Mountain. No one challenged his words
because he had vicious dogs that would attack if they showed any type of
opinion. Adolf Hitler once said “By the skillful and sustained use of
propaganda, one could make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely
wretched life as paradise.” http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/a/adolfhitle385640.html#wLWtcqg3YLsLl4if.99 Which
means with good use of propaganda he can make anyone believe anything, like he
did to the Jews in the holocaust. Hitler was a great speaker, and he also said “Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually
they will believe it.” according to
http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/a/adolfhitle385640.html#wLWtcqg3YLsLl4if.99 and he used his propaganda to rise to power in Germany in
1933. With the help of the Nazi Party. He talked his way into the office and by
strong use of propaganda Hitler was able to attract the
attention of the public and gain support from many German people.

Adolph Hitler & Napoleon (Brianna)
How could you argue that the character of Napoleon compares
to Adolph Hitler? Think about the fact that while he came to power across
Europe many people ignored the warning signs.
How does that compare to the animals on the farm? How & why did the animals
ignore the negative signs with Napoleon?
I feel Napoleon is like Adolph Hitler because they are dictators and try to rule people to get what they want. At first the people/animals thought he was doing good for the country but they ended up making things worse. People noticed that he was starting to mess up but didn’t say anything because they were scared of what would happen to them and their families. For example “He was an awful man but people followed him. People followed him because he was a strong extremist patriot, and this is what Germany thought they needed. They thought that Germany was going to fail under the Weirmar republic and they needed a strong dictator to get them back on their feet. People were also afraid of him, as they knew what he and the Nazi party could do to them.”(Answer.com, Why did people follow Adolf Hitler?) “He promised to solve their problem. The league of nations had imposed such overwhelming sanctions against Germany following WWI that the German people were already suffering financially at the beginning of the Great Depression, then things got worse. Hitler promised to make things better, found a group of people on whom he could blame all of the problems (the Jews) and told everyone that he was locking them up for the good of the nation. He didn't say much about the Holocaust, and while there were rumors, the German people didn't want to believe because things were getting better.” (Answer.com, Why did people follow Adolf Hitler?)
In the story Napoleon did some what the same, he said he would do better for the farm and make life better but he ended up just using the animals for his use and blamed Snowball for the problems the farm was going through and ran him off. He also had the dogs to guard him and if any one asked questions about him and his choices he would make him dogs attack who ever was asking questions or refusing what they were told to do.

Rights (Carlton)
Today there are a lot of rights
that we have now that a lot of people in the past didn’t have or were denied of.
Back in the past women didn’t have any rights because they weren’t treated the
same as men. They couldn’t vote, get a decent education, or work because people
back then thought only men were suppose to do these things. Many people believe
that women were incapable of making huge important decisions that men usually
made. All they could do was cook, clean and watch children. African Americans
were also treated unequally. After they were free from slavery they still
weren’t given or denied some of the rights that other people had. Like women
they couldn’t get a good decent education, get good job opportunities, or vote.
All that change when they started to fight for their rights. In 1920 the 19th
US Constitutional Amendment was pass giving women the right to vote. After
World War II the Civil Rights Act of 1964 help both women and African Americans
gain the rights that they didn’t used to have or they were denied of. This
law banned discrimination in school, public
places, jobs and many other fields. If it weren’t for the people in the past we
wouldn’t have some of the rights that we have today.
What would life be like if we were all equal? (Maria)
If all of human beings were all
equal, life would be much easier. Everybody would be a friend, and everybody
would eventually get along. There would be no racism, no discrimination. If
everybody were equal in those times when they had school’s for colored people,
and school’s for white people, there wouldn’t have been slavery. Everybody
would be equal and everybody was treated the same, no matter the color of each
person.
In
the eyes of the Lord we are all the same. To him it doesn’t matter the color,
the personality, how hard working everybody is. To him what matters is that we
all belong to him, and he cares for us, not caring about how we are. He loves
all of us for who we are not by the concept people has us in. People can think
whatever they want, but they never know if they are wrong or right. People can
always be wrong, people can think what they want, but Jesus Christ is never
wrong he always knows what he does and he got his reasons. Everybody is the
same in his eyes he doesn’t care of how mean we are, he know that from the
inside we have lots of love and respect to give to others.
Why treat each other different when we know we
are all the same? We do that because we don’t want to accept reality our way of
thinking doesn’t let us reality. Our big head don’t want to be equal. I wonder
why we have some really mean instincts. Sometimes we have to racist because the
devil is telling us to do it when our good side is telling us to do it.
Can you relate to not having equal rights because of who you are or your skin color?
Not having equal right wouldn’t
feel good for me, also I know that it wouldn’t feel right for other. Although
not everybody are the same physically, we are all the same. It doesn’t matter
the color, where you come from, or who you are. Society can have a bad concept
of somebody but they don’t them by who they truly are. But people don’t care by
who you are. If they see you are Mexican people can be calling you names. They
don’t know how you are, they don’t know your personality. But they don’t care
they just want to make you feel bad.
But
not having equal rights, is not right, we are all the same. We have different
color. We have different personalities. Different characteristics. But that
doesn’t makes us any different in society. We are all the same, we should have
equal rights. Not just because we are Mexican, African, Chinese, Indian, or
whatever other nationality people have. We are all the same no matter our
culture, religion, or believes. People will always be the same in my eyes. Discrimination
is something serious we got to think about. Discriminating people just come
from people who has no heart , no feelings it really makes me feel bad by how humans
can be so cruel to other humans. That’s not right for the society and to eyes
of god.
How could you argue that the character of Napoleon compares to Adolph Hitler? Think about the fact that while he came to power across Europe many people ignored the warning signs. How does that compare to the animals on the farm? How & why did the animals ignore the negative signs with Napoleon? (Ana)
Napoleon and Hitler, although they
both live in two different worlds they are more alike than anyone may think.
For example both of them were the kinds of people who talked with passion and
with seriousness and both exaggerate what they represent. “His hoarse,
grating voice, for all the bombastic, humorless, histrionic content of his
speeches, dominated audiences by dint of his tone of impassioned conviction and
gift for self-dramatization.” Is a quote that was stated about Hitler in the JewishVirtualLibary on
how he acted during his early years of starting out. When both Hitler and
Napoleon started communicating their way of thinking no one suspected that they
would turn out to be what most people would call “the bad guy”. The started out
as though they were just trying to make the world a better place. Although at
first they may have had that idea power over took them and they wanted more and
more of it.
Since they both had followers the things they
wanted did not really seem so impossible. All they had to do was to talk in a
way were they made people think they were right. Both people and the animals
ignored all the signs that showed that Napoleon and Hitler were getting to
greedy with power. They probably were afraid that other people would not think
the same as the do or that the people who did think like Napoleon and Hitler
would go against them. Hitler for example had a lot of followers who got his
point of view and would take violent means if someone did not as this quote on
JewishVirtualLibary explains; “By November 1921
Hitler was recognized as Fuhrer of a movement which had 3,000 members, and
boosted his personal power by organizing strong- arm squads to keep order at
his meetings and break up those of his opponents.”
When they did see all the signs unfortunately it
was too late to do anything with out violent causes being taken against them.

"... Changing rules of the pigs compare... " - Yesenia Villarreal
“… Changing rules of the pigs compare…”
The pigs changing the commandments
compare to real life everyday. It compares because some of the animals could represent
as activist as taking matters into their own hands like some famous people from
our history during events. The pigs are like the government for the president
but mainly for themselves or the rest of the animals. The pigs decide to pass
or change laws while the president being (Napoleon) could give some options as
resolutions to them. Politicians would only care of themselves because they
would have control over what laws are being passed for the entire country. For an
example of a law would be of: “the first civil rights
law, equal rights for everyone who lived within the jurisdiction of the United
States.” This would have been located online as a reference using this
source: http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Civil+and+political+rights
Changing those
commandments on Animal Farm so everything is set proper to work right is like having
your own business or company. It is like school regulations and if you don’t
follow them you suffer the consequences. In chapter 7 of Animal Farm, 4 pigs
decide to betray Napoleon and fess up to it. Then they suffer by being attacked
by Napoleon’s guard dogs and end as perished. Napoleon in the meantime is in
charge of Animal Farm, while the rest of the animals are set as the people.
Some of the pigs, including Squealer is his government. Lastly, Napoleon’s
police or bodyguard is the dogs. Most animals in the farm don’t speak up enough
or can’t find the words to speak and because of that the only one who makes
decisions and even decides it a good majority of the time is Napoleon. The
animals don’t have many rights as Napoleon since he decides it all. This isn’t
fair to all the other animals. It makes me think back how women weren’t treated
equally as men. Feminists had to argue and take action. “In 1919, the federal woman suffrage amendment; originally written by
Susan B. Anthony and introduced in Congress in 1878, is passed by the House of
Representatives and the Senate. It is then sent to the states for ratification.”

Fear (Keith)
Fear is good motivation for people.
I actually use fear to get my little brothers to do things all the time. Fear
is the best way to get someone to do something. Everyone has a fear or is
afraid of something so you can almost get anyone to do something. Look at dictators
for example. Everyone hates a dictator but I bet they will listen to them
because they don’t want to be captured and/or killed. That the perfect example
of using fear. The only things about using fear to get people to do things is
that if enough people get tired of some one scaring them they are going to join
together and do something about you. And
if your scare them to badly they will be too scared to do anything I think. So
in most ways fear is going to get the job done. Just don’t over use it cause
people will get way ticked off. Schools use fear to get student to do stuff
too, they are just sneaky with how they do it.
Like if a student is in class being a nuisance a teacher will say
something like “Do I have to call security?” or “I think we need to call your
parents” and most students (Not me of course) will get scared and stop acting
like they were. So overall fear is a good tactic to use to get your way of
things
Laws (Carlton)
What will life be like without any
enforced rules or laws? There is a reason why we have enforced rules and laws.
If we didn’t have rules and laws then the whole world would be in chaos because
people could do anything they want and get away with it. Some people think life
will be okay if there weren’t any rules or laws because they feel like
everything will be much easier for them. But want those people don’t realizes
is that some of the rules and laws that are created is to help keep them safe
away from any kind of danger. Some of the rules and laws we have is completely necessary
because the people breaking the rules now will go completely crazy knowing they
could get away with anything they do because there is no rule or law that could
go against them. If there weren’t any laws or rules people that killed and
injured others wouldn’t have to go to jail because there is nothing that says
they can’t do it. The people that goes around and steal stuff away wouldn’t
stop because they know there isn’t anything that people could do or say to stop
them for getting away with it. The people that kidnap and rape people won’t
change because there wouldn’t be any problems with it. All these things could
happen if there wasn’t any rules or laws.
Predicition (Juan)
The animal farm was rebelled and mankind have now been over come by the animals. I think that the in the story the animals will be coming into their own kind of rules and decide to make their own rule and napoleon chooses to run the farm and make the orders. The farm has been hard to live in the days since the farm was with out Mr. jones the animals had to work harder then the pigs do, the pigs are the ones who keep the milk and apples and eat more then the rest of the animals. The pigs were bossy and exceeded much. The farm was just hard labor for the pigs and animals and eat and repeat the next day. Now that the animals have over come the farm and mankind they choose to make the other animals work and make the farm move on and have food for the animals. The animals have been noticing that napoleon is turning evil because napoleon made some commandments of him self so he was had been getting out of the rest of the work because if he works and dies “Mr. Jones would come back” so that’s one thing the animals are scared of. The farm before they rebelled was calm no problems besides Mr. Jones being drunk and hitting the animals for no reason. The animals starved for days and that’s one reason they decided to rebel.
equal rights (Antonio)
Equal rights I think equal
rights are important because if you know your rights then there is no way that
they can trick you. But there are some people that they don’t know the rights.
There are some people that are poor and they don’t get the rights that they
deserve and if the people were rich then they would even bother them because
they are rich. People have to get equal rights because every body is the same
no matter what color you are or what language you speak. you have the same
rights as a rich person.

What kind of equal rights do we have right now that we didn’t have in the past? How does that affect us today? (Ana)
In the past women did not have rights.
They could not vote they could not work they could just basically stay at home
go to the store or gossip. Back then women were thought little of and were not
given a chance to show men what they could do that is until World War II. After
that women were given a chance to work and do things that normally men would
do.
Another right was that colored
people were not allowed to do anything with white people. They were drinking
fountains, bathrooms, stores, and other places ad things that only colored
people could use. There were also things and places white people could go and
use. Nowadays it doesn’t matter what color you are. Although some people still
live like they use to back in the day, most of the country doesn’t really worry
about the color of people.
There were also slaves that were
colored people. That was before the segregation against them started. Now a day
you see any color out in the field, but back then you only saw dark skin people
out working in the field. Not only just dark skin people were taken against but
also light skin colored people. Although they were given different jobs inside
they were still worked hard.
Our rights nowadays are given equally
to every citizen. Everyone is treated the same and they have to work for what
they have and not just have it given to them.
Character of Napoleon compares to Adolph Hitler (Rachel)
I think that in the book animal farm that napoleon is a lot like Adolph Hitler because they both wanted to take out their enemies. In both Napoleon and Hitler’s case neither enemies were real enemies, both Napoleon and Hitler just wanted to see smart and powerful and in charge. Neither Hitler nor Napoleon realized that just because a few people did wrong or were bad that not everyone else of that kind had to pay for the consequence too. I think a lot of people ignored the fact that they were both coming into power because they trusted them and thought that never in a million years would someone they trusted do something so wrong and so harsh and so cruel to them. No matter how much things were pointed out to them they truly wanted to believe that nothing was going to happen. According to Author Robert Wistrich in the website Who's Who in Nazi Germany, “The young Hitler was a resentful, discontented child” (Wistrich). As was Napoleon growing up on a farm that was very mistreated. As the years went by he and the rest of the animals grew very resentful to the owners too. The reason why the animals on the farm didn’t take the warning signs was because napoleon was all for this perfect life and the whole concept of animalism but as the story goes on he realizes that he can be in charge and feeds off of it. According to the website Wikipedia “Ultimately, Napoleon becomes an oppressive dictator and seems to become one of the cruel humans through his adoption of human ways.”(Wikipedia).

What freedoms do we take for granted in the United States? Do you think we have too much freedom? What freedoms cause problems?
First of all we take freedom of speech for granted. For
example; in the U.S. we are able to say
what is on our minds and well depending on the outtakes of things not have to
go to jail or anything. In other parts of the world some people are not even
allowed to say anything negative about an important person in their government.
They cannot also give their opinion on laws or how the government runs things.
Although it is good that we can speak our minds it can also
get us in trouble with the law sometimes. Or our way of thinking can also start
a riot and have people against people so then some people would have the need
to use violence. Which then would have the government get involved.
Another freedom we have is the freedom to vote for a president.
In some countries the “people” do not have a right to choose who will
run their country. Unlike us who choose who we want to run our country
depending on the campaign they run or the promises they make us. We also have a
system which does not let the president make all the decisions by himself but
with first it going thru a system of people who would then vote on it and
decide if it stays or it goes. Some countries though have to just deal with the
decisions their government, or more likely the dictator, makes.
Laws (DeAric)
How do the changing rules of the pigs compare to the
changing of laws to meet the specific needs of the their makers? The pigs got
were tired of getting pushed around by the humans. Well all the animals were
tired of getting pushed around by the men, the pigs were more intelligent and
unlike the other animals the pigs actually stood up for themselves which had
motivated the other animals to do the same. So after old major did his speech.
He died, but the pigs were eager to do what major wanted to be done. So
Napoleon and Snowball slowly started making the farm life better for the
animals. Snowball wanted animals to be free. I think Napoleon wanted pigs to be
free. After Major had died Snowball made commandments embracing Major’s speech.
As the farm came more free for animals Napoleon became more obsessed with the
freedom they were having. One day Snowball was chased out the farm by two of
Napoleon’s servants which were puppies that he took when they were very young.
They grew up to know Napoleon as the ruler. Napoleon took the farm over.
In
comparing the farm with real life Napoleon would be like the people who wanted
just native Americans to vote. Snowball would of course be the good guy who
would allow all humans to vote. Snowball wanted everyone to be equal he would
be the animal version of Martin Luther King. Snowball would also be the animal
version of anti slave states. Napoleon would be the state who had slaves and
women were always in the house cleaning and cooking for him. The slaves and
women would be other animals and the pigs would be the white men. So the animal
farm is really just another civil war amongst animals though.
“Once slavery in America was not seen as radical. It became, instead, a
revolutionary idea that slaves should be freed. When we have lived under a
pernicious power long enough, no matter how oppressive, we grow so accustomed
to the yoke that its removal seems frightening, even wrong”.

Napoleon Vs. Hitler (Rebecca)
Animal Farm
Hitler and napoleon are similar to each other because they
both wanted everything to go their own way. Most of the time they both used
propaganda to the people to make them do what ever they wanted them to do. Answers.com gave
their opinion that “Hitler used propaganda
to convince Germans that Jewish people were ugly, evil, traitors, and that they
were ultimately to blame for Germany's loss in WWI. Through propaganda, Hitler
tried to make Germans hate the Jewish people.” This quote came
from answers.com (wiki answers). Napoleon used
propaganda because he always made the other animals from the farm believe what
ever he wanted him, he always wanted other animals to do what he said, because
he tough he was correct on everything he said. We can compare Hitler and
napoleon because when Hitler was going on many people ignore the fact that
there were warnings signs about what was going on. And its similar to animal
farm because there was sign about what napoleon wanted to do but since everyone
was scared of him they never listen up and a lot of animals didn’t go against
him, they actually helped him out. Many of the animals where scared to speak
up, they where afraid that napoleon would send the 3 dogs to follow them like
he did with snowball. Answers.com tell’s us 2 ways Hitler used propaganda. “The types of
propaganda used by Hitler for the rise of his power were posters and radio ads
that proclaimed the Germans were hurt by the Treaty of Versailles and they
needed to fight back. It said they had to protect their homes and nations and
families, that people who weren't German were less inferior like the Jews,
African Americans and other races.” This quote came
from answers.com (wiki answers). One of Hitler strategy to
make people change there mind about what was going on was making posters and
its similar to what napoleon did on animal farm he send some animals to go to
the other farms so that they would say how perfect things where going on animal
farm.

Napoleon & Hitler (Ricardo)
How could you argue that the character of Napoleon compares
to Adolph Hitler? There is a lot of thinks that are similar of these to
character. They both had the same intentions to become a leaders for there
homes, but not for the good of the people that they are leading, but only for
there own good and they would do anything to get what they want they would even
use violent to any body that gets in the way. Another similar think that they
both have us there “soldiers” Napoleon had the pigs to back him up and the dogs
to do the dirty work, all the violent things and the animals would fear them.
And Adolph Hitler had the Nazi army to kill the Jews. So the Jews and the rest
of the animals were similar because they pretty much were slave to Adolph
Hitler and Napoleon they both had to listen to there rules and laws if not they
would get hurt somehow. The reason why the animals from the farm didn’t make a
stand for themselves was because they were use to being told what to do there
whole lives and they didn’t know any better. And the reason why the Jews didn’t
do anything to the Adolph Hitler or his army was because they already knew what
would happen to them if they did try to do something and most already saw the Nazis
murder a fellow Jew so they knew it would happen to them.

Napoleon Vs. Hitler (Jesus)
I chose the one about Napoleon being compared to Adolf Hitler. The comparisons are numerous.
It starts with the fact that people were wanting to revolt against their higher powers and make a change for themselves,
Napoléon and snowball were a lot like Hitler and Stalin in the sense that they were both greatly supported by the people
and that in reality as well as in the book they weren’t very fond of each other. According to the “studyworld.com”
website “Although Hitler and Stalin hated each other, the two leaders were similar in many ways. Hitler and Stalin
each rose to the highest position attainable in their respective countries, and there were three main reasons that
they were able to do this. Both men were skilled users of propaganda, each was amoral, and they both had the
ambition to make their countries powerful in the world. Since each was a skilled user of propaganda, they could use
their words to twist and manipulate the minds of people into believing that what they were saying was the absolute truth.
Using this power, they would get people to do anything for them, which proves their amorality.” I couldn’t have put it any
better myself, that’s exactly how snowball and Napoleon were in the fact that they both hated each other and were both
greatly looked upon as great leaders. They might not have been leading such great things but nonetheless they were great leaders.
According to the “schoolhistory.org” website “From having little or no say in the national picture in the 'Golden years' the Nazi’s rose
rapidly to become the dominant force in the elections of 1932: although they won no overall majority in these elections.
By 1933, Hitler was viewed by many as the only man who could halt the rapid slide towards an economic and political shambles.”
Just like after the animals overtook animal farm the word of their revolution spread out and people were beginning to take notice.

enforcing laws (AJ)
Enforcing The Rules
Would you even be able to
live life with out laws and enforcement? Most people would say Great. Rules
also include the rule or laws of the universe and how nature works. I don’t think you would because people would
just try and do what ever they want to do. They would commit every crime with
out the police there will be 10 times as much killings than it is. If there
wasn’t rules we had to follow each generation would get worse and worse because
the children wouldn’t go to school, they would just run the streets, but since
we have police we have curfews that we have to follow or we can get took to
jail. I think that is good that we have rules and laws to follow. Really you don’t
have to listen to anybody if you don’t want to that’s a choice you would make
your self but when you don’t follow the rules you will just a to take the
consequence for your actions that you made. Laws make things fair for all
groups of people. Laws are not different or special for any one
group. It does not matter what race, religion, age, or sex you are, nor
how much money you make. Laws protect everyone.

Napoleon Plus Hitler Equals Bad (Sarai)
One thing is for sure and that is that Napoleon and Hitler
liked getting away with what they wanted through lies and manipulation. Napoleon
and Hitler both killed to scare everyone into obeying them. Although Hitler
killed for far more reasons than Napoleon did, but one thing is for sure and
that is that they were both cold-hearted males. Napoleon used his power to
punish, trick, enslave, and murder the other animals. He also used it to
benefit himself in everyway. He and the other pigs lived in the comfortable farmhouse
with plenty of food and enjoyed beds to sleep in. Meanwhile, the other animals
slept in the barn, worked hard, ate very little, and were treated the same way
when Mr. Jones was in control of the farm. In Animal Farm, Napoleon used his
army of dogs to kill many helpless animals. Hitler did the same thing that Napoleon
did when he worked the Jews for endless amount of hours with little to no food.
Hitler used his powers for the same reasons that Napoleon
did. He used it to punish, trick, enslave, and murder people who were no
different than him self. Hitler used his army to kill those helpless people.
Napoleon and Hitler both only thought in themselves before others.

Hitler & Napoleon (Carlton)
Adolf Hitler and Napoleon are the same because they are both power
hungry dictators that will harm anybody that disobey or try to take their power
away. Hitler was the leader of the Nazis that killed over millions of people in
World War ll and approximately over six million Jews in the Holocaust. Hitler
never like the Jewish as you can tell by part of this speech. “The internal
expurgation of the Jewish spirit is not possible in any platonic way. For
the Jewish spirit as the product of the Jewish person. Unless we expel
the Jewish people. Unless we expel the Jewish people soon, they will have
judaized our people within a very short time.” Every time something went wrong or the
country was starting to question Hitler’s leadership he put the blame on the
Jews saying that if they get rid of them all of Germany’s problems will be
solve. That is the same thing that Napoleon is telling the other animals about
Snowball. They used propaganda to persuade their citizens to think that they
are the problem when really it them. History of the Holocaust – An Introduction
explains “The Nazis claimed
the Jews
corrupted pure German culture with their "foreign" and
"mongrel" influence. They portrayed the Jews as
evil and cowardly, and Germans as hardworking, courageous, and honest. The Jews, the
Nazis claimed, who were heavily represented in finance, commerce, the press,
literature, theater, and the arts, had weakened Germany's economy and culture.” Napoleon
does the same thing when Squealer tells the other animals that Snowball is a
traitor and that he was working for Jones from the beginning.

Napoleon Vs. Hitler (Jose)
Napoleon, and Adolf Hitler have many things in common. They
both seem like good people at first, but later they are not the same. The
people want to believe they are good, but when they realize they are doing bad
it’s too late. There are also differences from napoleon, and Hitler. One thing
different is napoleon didn’t really kill animals; he just wanted power like
Hitler. Another thing that napoleon, and Hitler had in common is they both had
a right hand man (or pig). Napoleons right hand pig was squealer. He did most
of the talking for Napoleon, and he was the pig who can convince the other
animals that napoleon was right. Hitler also used his right hand man (Heinrich
Himmler) to do his persuasive talks. Bookrags says, “In 1926 he was named the director of
propaganda.” (Bookrags). They both had a right hand person to persuade the
people that they were right, and convince them that they were good people doing
good stuff for them. Another thing they had in common was that they both had
some kind of group to fight for them, and that people feared. Bookrags says, “The SS. became the most feared, most
well known, and most powerful organization in Nazi Germany.” (Bookrags). Napoleon
had the dogs as his fighters, and the animal feared them, and is one of the
reasons the animals don’t speak their mind. Hitler had the SS, and most people
feared them. They got many other similarities. They are almost the same person.

Napoleon & Hitler (Bridget)
Napoleon resembles Adolph Hitler because they both just wanted power and to be in charge of all the other people at any price. All they cared about was themselves. This information is on the Spartacus educational website. “This gave Hitler tremendous power within the organization, as they knew they could not afford to lose him."www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/GERhitler.htm Accessed on 4/12/12.Napoleon didn’t
care whom he had to get rid of to be in charge. He wanted power and control
over all the other animals. None of then animals ever suspected what napoleon
was doing. They were all loyal to him because they thought he was just doing
the best for them. Just like Hitler all the people believed in him and they were
all wrong and should have not have. All the animals on the farm ignored all the
bad signs of napoleon because they were scared of might happen to them. Napoleon
even had complete control over snowballs puppies. They had brainwashed them
into doing whatever they wanted them to do. Napoleon did have another pig who
listened and did all the dirty work that napoleon did not want to do. This
information is from the BBC history website. “He was the unquestioned leader of what was now the National
Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP or Nazi Party).”
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/people/adolf_hitler.
Accessed on 4/13/12. Hitler as well as
napoleon is both very shallow and mean and cruel too. Everything they’ve done
they have always had a bad intention they never do anything for the good of
their people or animals.
