“love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind”
this statement is very true. What this is saying is, love is
mental, its not based off of how someone looks to determine whether one loves
that person or not. It depends on the personality. Looks are definitely a
factor, depending on the person; SOMETIMES, but looks are more lust, rather
than love. There is a quote that says, “ a blind man once taught me how to love
“ I feel these quotes mean the same thing. You can be blind all you want but
that doesn’t effect how you love someone, that doesn’t affect the way they talk
to you, that doesn’t affect, the way they treat you, and that doesn’t affect
the way you feel about them. It is all based on how you feel about the things
they do and the things they say, which is mental. So all you need to love, is a
heart, and a brain. Hermia is in love with Lysander, he doesn’t have they best
clothes. He doesn’t have the best looks, but she is in love with him for the
way he acts towards her, and the thing he does. If it was based off of looks
then shed ‘love’ Demetrius because his family is wealthy.
