Love & Family (Janessa)

I don’t think that it is ok for anybody to try and tell you whom you can or can’t love, and spend the rest of your life with. Although many people listen to their friends when they say they shouldn’t talk to somebody cause of their looks or what they have done, so they stop talking to that person. In life you want to be happy and if your parents chose who you could love then your most likely not going to be happy with there decision. True love is somebody that you love and want to be with for a long time and be happy with. Family and friends can have their opinion on the guy/girl you are dating and give you advice or a suggestion about the person but they shouldn’t be able to tell you to stop talking to them for a crazy reason like they think they are ugly or they just don’t like them. I would never tell somebody to stop talking to somebody they like all I would do is give an opinion.

Today society has changed a lot. Majority of people choose their own love now, unlike back in the day when fathers chose who their daughters could talk to and who they married. Also today we don’t just have to rush to get married. People go on dates and learn about the person to see if they are interested before getting married. Some of my friends and family/family do try to give me advice about who I can and can’t talk to but I don’t listen to them and sometimes I should because it turns out wrong. I just like to learn for myself and learn from my own mistakes.
